Pakistan Tax Agency Issues Notification Amending Sales Tax Rates for Specific Petroleum Products

The Pakistani Federal Board of Revenue July 26 issued Notification SRO No. 937(1)/2021, amending the ad valorem sales tax rates on specific petroleum products, effective July 16. The rates are: 1) 10.77 percent for motor spirit (petrol); 2) 17 percent for high-speed diesel oil; 3) 6.70 percent for kerosene; and 4) 0.20 percent for light diesel oil.
