Pakistan to Increase Tax on Mobile Phones as Part of IMF Deal

Pakistan will increase tax on durable goods including mobile phones as part of a deal to raise tax revenues with the International Monetary Fund, says Muzzammil Aslam, spokesperson to Pakistan’s finance minister in news briefing.

  • Food and related-agricultural products such as fertilizer, tractors and pesticides will not be taxed, says Aslam
