Philippines’ Marcos Seeks to Prioritize Bill Removing Travel Tax

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approves a bill seeking to abolish travel tax as among the 21 priority measures that are targeted to pass in Congress before June, his communications office says in statement.

  • During meeting of Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council, Marcos also approved as priorities the bill against political dynasties, reforming the party-list system and creating an independent people’s commission to probe corruption
  • In a separate statement, economic planning agency says proposed reforms to bank deposit secrecy law also among priorities
