The Philippine News Agency March 11 announced the April 15 deadline for 2019 income tax returns. Due to the health epidemic additional filing methods are available to taxpayers, allowing them to upload tax returns for electronic submission and pay taxes online. The announcement includes: 1) the 25 percent penalty on taxes due and the 12 percent annual interest rate for late filing; 2) the additional compromise penalty for outstanding tax debts; and 3) procedures to file through electronic uploads and with authorized bank agents.
