Philippines Social Security Agency Announces Increase in Social Security Contribution Rate

The Philippine Social Security System Jan. 7 announced an increase in the social security contribution rate to 15 percent from 14 percent, effective January 2025. The announcement also includes an increase in: 1) the minimum monthly salary credit (MSC) to 5,000 Philippine pesos (US$86) from 4,000 pesos (US$69); and 2) the maximum MSC to 35,000 pesos (US$600) from 30,000 pesos (US$514).
