Poland Is Likely to Cut VAT on Fuels, Finance Minister Says

“Lowering VAT on fuel is one of the solutions we are currently analyzing in detail,” Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski speaks in interview with public radio 3.

  • “I think it’s a probable solution. It is certainly very important for us that the VAT reduction translates into a lower gasoline price for drivers, and is not, to put it colloquially, consumed by suppliers, distributors, or gas stations”
  • Government will take steps to curb fuel prices in Poland
  • Poland is not working on windfall tax for now
    • “However, we can’t rule out such tax” at some point in the future
