The Polish Ministry of Finance July 26 opened a consultation on a draft bill to amend various tax regulations. The draft bill includes measures that would: 1) increase to 120,000 zlotys (US$30,721) the individual income tax-free threshold; 2) provide R&D tax relief for companies; 3) enable the joint settlement of VAT by multiple taxpayers through the introduction of VAT groups; and 4) shorten the VAT refund period to 15 days. The law would generally enter into force Jan. 1, 2022. Comments are due Aug. 30. [Poland, Ministry of Finance, 07/26/21]
