Poland Prime Minister Announces Cabinet Adoption of Proposal to Amend VAT Act

The Polish Prime Minister’s Office Sept. 17 announced that the Council of Ministers adopted a proposal to amend the VAT Act. The proposal includes measures to: 1) ensure that businesses using simplified declarations can continue settling VAT on imports of goods directly on their tax returns; 2) extend the time for correcting a VAT declaration beyond four months after the month during which tax obligations related to imports of goods arose, but not beyond one month after the supplementary declaration filing deadline; and 3) enable taxpayers who submit simplified declarations, and who are approved to submit supplementary declarations within a ...
