Polish breweries will be able to reduce future excise duty payments by taxes already paid on unsold expired beer under a finance ministry ordinance.
Breweries will able to reduce their future payments until Dec. 31, according to the ordinance published Wednesday in the Polish Journal of Laws. But the beer will have to be destroyed by July 31, which will be supervised by customs and tax offices. The ordinance takes force June 4.
