Polish Minimum Tax Opposition is Political, German Minister Says

Poland’s remaining objections to an EU-wide directive that would implement a global minimum tax rate of 15% are “only political,” Germany’s finance minister said Friday.

“All countries, except Poland, voted in favor, even those who were skeptical before,” Finance Minister Christian Linder said at a Group of Seven meeting in Bonn. “We were able to alleviate all the reservations. So there can’t be any considerations, any technical considerations, only political considerations or reservations.”
