Polish Minister Says Bank Tax Plan Isn’t as Good as Windfall Tax

Polish EU Funds Minister Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz says a bank tax proposal made by Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski clearly shows that there is a “serious debate” and “developmental change is taking place,” she speaks in interview with Radio Zet.

  • Says she is happy with the proposal
  • However, adds that Domanski’s proposal is not as good as a windfall tax and will bring in less money and won’t motivate banks toward development-oriented activities or effective lending
