Portugal Gazettes Law Authorizing Amendments to Cash VAT Regime

The Portuguese Official Gazette Feb. 26 published Law No. 18/2025, authorizing amendments to the cash VAT regime, approved by Decree-Law No. 71/2013. The law includes a measure authorizing amendments to increase the turnover threshold to access the cash VAT regime to 2 million euros (US$2.1 million) from 500,000 euros (US$520,332), for VAT taxpayers who meet the other legal conditions.
