Rhode Island Authorizes Portsmouth Property Tax Classification Plan Changes (Bill 1 of 2)

The Rhode Island General Assembly enacted a law authorizing the town of Portsmouth to adopt, repeal, or modify their property tax classification plan for any tax year on or after Dec. 31, 2026. The law takes effect upon passage. [S.B. 2577, became law without signature 05/06/26]
