Romania MOF Announces January 2026 Tax-Free Interest Rates for FIDELIS Bonds

The Romanian Ministry of Public Finance Jan. 14 announced that the first issue of 2026 FIDELIS bonds for individuals will occur between Jan. 16 and Jan. 23. The announcement includes that: 1) the tax-free interest rates for two-, four-, and six-year bonds in Romanian lei are 6.45 percent, 7.1 percent, and 7.5 percent, respectively; 2) the tax-free interest rates for three-, five-, and 10-year bonds in euros are 3.75 percent, 4.75 percent, and 6.2 percent, respectively; 3) specified blood donors can benefit from a special portion of FIDELIS bonds with a two-year maturity and 7.45 percent interest rate, issued in ...
