Romania Tax Agency Publishes Order on VAT Exemption for Specific Imports Due to War

The Romanian Tax Agency Jan. 23 published Order No. 5453/2023, for the implementation of Commission Decision (EU) 2023/829 of April 17, 2023, exempting import duties and VAT on imports of goods intended for distribution or release free of charge: 1) to people fleeing military aggression in Ukraine; and 2) to persons distressed in Ukraine.
