Russia Gazettes Law Allowing Entities, Entrepreneurs to Apply Zero-Rated VAT on Previously Exported Goods

The Russian Official Gazette April 28 published Law No. 173-FZ, amending the tax code to allow Russian entities and individual entrepreneurs to apply a zero-rated VAT on goods sold to individuals on a foreign territory if such goods were previously exported through a customs procedure to that foreign territory and shipped from a warehouse located in the same foreign territory. The law enters into force Jan. 1, 2025. [Russia, Government Legal Database, 04/28/23]
