Russia Gazettes Law Extending VAT Payment Deadline for Rail Transport Project

The Russian Official Gazette Jan. 6 published Law No. 1992, extending the VAT payment deadline for a rail transportation project. The law includes measures: 1) extending the VAT payment deadline by 36 months, until Jan. 28, 2029, for taxpayers involved in the design and construction of a high-speed rail infrastructure project from the Kryukovo station to the St. Petersburg main station; and 2) specifying that taxpayers must be included in a list of eligible taxpayers by the end of the last working day of 2028 to benefit from the extension.
