The Russian Ministry of Finance March 24 announced that the lower house of parliament (State Duma) approved a bill to clarify the application of the 10 percent preferential VAT rate for children’s goods. The bill includes measures to: 1) create a list of documents to demonstrate a taxpayer’s right to apply the rate, in compliance with technical regulations and to confirm product safety; and 2) specify the documents as those with information on the government conformity certificate, with information on the conformity declaration registered by the national accreditation body, and those issued under the laws of the Eurasian Economic Union ...
