Russia Tax Agency Clarifies VAT Exemption on Intellectual Property Rights Transfers

The Russian Federal Tax Service May 6 clarified the amended list of specific intellectual property rights transfers that were exempted from VAT. The amended list includes: 1) exclusive rights to inventions; 2) utility models; 3) industrial designs; 4) topologies of integrated circuits; and 5) production secrets (know-how), as well as the rights to use these results of intellectual activity.
