Russia Tax Treaty Negotiations Are Still On, Dutch Finance Says

The Netherlands and Russia continue negotiations to revise their bilateral tax treaty, the Dutch Finance Ministry said Monday, after Moscow announced last week that it wanted to exit the pact.

“The Netherlands is prepared to review the tax treaty and is constructive during the process,” the Finance Ministry said in an emailed statement, adding that discussions are “ongoing.”

Moscow said Friday that it was preparing to pull out of the treaty, as proposals made by the Dutch would have preserved “channels for withdrawing money” from Russia.
