Ryanair Threatens to Cut Capacity in Germany by 1.5M Seats

Ryanair urges the German government to cut its recent 24% increase in aviation tax and other fees or lose another 10% of the airline’s capacity, according to statement.

  • Ryanair threatens to cut 1.5 million seats for summer 2025 in Germany and reallocate capacity to lower-cost EU countries like Italy, Poland, Spain and Portugal
  • Company also demands a reduction in ATC charges and for Germany to defer the 50% increase in security fees scheduled for January 2025
