Saint Lucia Announces Extension of Tax Amnesty Program

The Saint Lucian Government July 24 announced a one-year extension to May 1, 2024, from May 1, 2023, of the tax amnesty program. The announcement explains that: 1) the program grants a 100 percent waiver of penalties, interest, and collection fees, up to financial year 2021; 2) individual income, corporate, property, and withholding taxes, as well as PAYE and VAT, are included in the amnesty; and 3) taxpayers are encouraged to file outstanding returns to determine their status prior to the program’s expiration, to avoid enforcement action.
