Siemens Global Tax Head Criticizes OECD Global Deal Rollout

The global head of tax at Siemens criticized the lack of business input in the global tax deal rollout, describing it as “anti-democratic,” at the International Tax Conference in Munich Thursday.

Businesses would ideally have more input in the rollout of the global tax deal, conference attendees heard.

They should stand up, speak clearly and fight for what they want, Christian Kaeser, global head of tax at Siemens, said.

But businesses have not had a proper chance to provide their opinions on legislative simplifications, he argued.
