The Singaporean Inland Revenue Authority Dec. 16 updated the e-tax guide on GST for the advertising industry. The update includes: 1) the application of the zero-rated GST for the supply of media sales based on the location of the customer and direct beneficiary of the services from Jan. 1, 2022; and 2) the conditions for identifying the sole direct beneficiary for the contractual client and direct beneficiary in other cases.
