The Slovak Ministry of Finance Dec. 4 posted online a draft bill on various tax measures intended for the 2024 state budget. The bill includes measures to: 1) increase the VAT rate to 20 percent from 10 percent on alcoholic beverages; 2) increase the dividend withholding tax rate to 10 percent from 7 percent; 3) reintroduce corporate tax licenses; 4) increase the corporate income tax threshold for application of the reduced 15 percent tax rate to 60,000 euros (US$64,985) from 49,750 euros (US$53,883); 5) set progressive income tax rates, from 340 euros (US$368) on income up to 50,000 euros (US$54,154) ...
