Slovenia Tax Agency Issues Updated Guidance on Tax Treatment of Employment Income, Expense Reimbursements

The Slovenian Financial Administration March 5 issued updated guidance on the tax treatment of expense reimbursements and other income from employment. Updated topics covered include Feb. 24 increases to: 1) approximately 761 euros (US$880) for 10 years of service, approximately 1,141 euros (US$1,319) for 20 years, approximately 1,522 euros (US$1,760) for 30 years, and approximately 1,902 euros (US$2,199) for 40 years, in tax-exempt jubilee award amounts; 2) approximately 7,608 euros (US$8,798), increased from approximately 7,185 euros (US$8,309), from Feb. 26, 2025, to Feb. 23, 2026, in tax-exempt severance payments upon retirement; 3) approximately 380 euros (US$439), increased from approximately 359 ...
