SoftBank Group Refiles Income Tax on ‘Opinion Difference’

SoftBank Group says it refiled its corporate income tax with an amendment of ~37b yen.

  • Says the amended filing due to a “difference of opinion” over timing of reporting expenses
  • Notes no penalty imposed over the matter
  • Nikkei reported earlier that the company had underreported expenses related to the merger of Sprint and T-Mobile US
