The South African Official Gazette Feb. 3 published Notice No. 7083, increasing the hourly national minimum wage rates. The hourly national minimum wage rate increases are: 1) to 30.23 South African rand (US$1.80) from 28.79 rand (US$1.71), including for farm and domestic workers; and 2) to 16.62 rand (US$0.99) from 15.83 rand (US$0.94), for employees of expanded public works programs.
