South Africa Gazettes Notice Setting Business Travel Allowance Rates for Motor Vehicles

The South African Official Gazette Feb. 27 published Notice No. 7182, setting business travel allowance rates for motor vehicles. The notice includes measures: 1) specifying a cost scale with fixed cost, fuel cost, and maintenance cost values used for determining the rate per kilometer; and 2) setting the optional simplified method rate at 4.95 South African rand (US$0.31) per kilometer.
