South Carolina Announces New Pregnancy Resource Income Tax Credit

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) announced that a new tax credit is available for taxpayers. The DOR said that recent legislation has created the Pregnancy Resource Tax Credit, a nonrefundable income tax credit for taxpayers who donate to organizations that support child and maternal care or victims of human trafficking. The announcement states that interested charitable organizations and donors should prepare to apply to the DOR. Organizations must apply by July 31, and donor applications will be available Sept. 1.
