South Korea Considers Extending Fuel Tax Cuts Beyond June

South Korea is currently considering whether it should extend the fuel tax cuts beyond June, according to a statement from the finance ministry.

• The tax cut is set to terminate in end-June, after a 2-month extension in April
• South Korea has slashed its fuel taxes as part of its effort to tame inflation amid unstable global energy prices
