Spain MOF Seeks Comments on Draft Decree to Amend Individual Income Tax Regulations

The Spanish Ministry of Finance and Public Administration Oct. 14 opened a consultation on a draft decree to amend the individual income tax regulations based on changes introduced in the 2023 General State Budget. The draft decree includes measures that would: 1) increase the income limit to 21,000 euros (US$20,471) from 18,000 euros (US$17,546) for the 50 percent work income reduction; 2) modify the withholding threshold for single-parent family units to 17,270 euros (US$16,995) for those with one child and to 18,617 euros (US$ 18,321 for those with two or more children; 3) modify the withholding threshold for taxpayers whose ...
