The Sri Lankan Inland Revenue Department April 4 announced various income tax filing and payment deadlines for April. The deadlines are: 1) April 30, for filing annual statements and schedules for withholding tax (WHT), advance income tax (AIT), and advance individual income tax (APIT) for assessment year 2022-23; and 2) April 15, for paying WHT, AIT, and APIT for March 2023. The announcement also explains how to obtain a personal identification number (PIN), and that penalties and interest for non-filing or late filing can’t be reduced or waived.
