The Sri Lankan Inland Revenue Department (IRD) July 29 issued Notice No. PN/IT/2025-03, announcing deadlines and instructions to file and pay the 2025-2026 statement of estimated tax (SET) payable. The announcement includes: 1) the Aug. 15 deadline to file SETs for assessment year 2025-2026 and pay the first quarterly tax installment; 2) the procedure and instructions for filing and paying taxes, which remain unchanged despite a proposed budgetary amendment; and 3) a note that SET e-filing will soon be facilitated via the IRD web portal.
