Sri Lanka Tax Agency Announces Filing, Payment Deadline for Various Taxes

The Sri Lankan Inland Revenue Jan. 9 announced the Jan. 15 deadline for the filing and payment of various taxes. The announcement includes that: 1) the deadline applies to the payment of advance income tax (AIT) and withholding tax (WHT) on interest, fees, and other payments, advance personal income tax (APIT), and Q4 2025 stamp duty, as well as to the filing of Q4 2025 compounded stamp duty statements; 2) APIT payments should be made at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon, and that AIT/WHT payments should be made at any branch of the Peoples’ Bank; and 3) penalties ...
