Britain’s ruling Labour Party, in its infinite wisdom, may choose to remove Keir Starmer from the position he won in a landslide election less than two years ago. But Starmerism will probably survive him. For all the criticism thrown at the prime minister, he did have a guiding mission: a direct, pragmatic and progressive attempt to fix the UK’s most pressing problems, especially its inability to foster economic growth.
