Switzerland Is About to Put Cash in Its Constitution, Polls Show

Switzerland looks set to enshrine the availability of cash in its constitution next month, manifesting a public desire that physical money must remain despite the widespread shift toward digital payments.

The idea has the support of around 60% of voters ahead of a March 8 plebiscite, according to two separate polls from Swiss broadcaster SRG and newspaper group Tamedia/20 Minuten.
