Taiwan will align its tax rate for multinational corporations operating in the country with the OECD’s global minimum tax.

The country will increase its alternative minimum tax for companies with annual revenue above 750 million euros ($830 million) from 12% to 15%, according to a press release from the country’s Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

The tax will take effect on 2025 earnings that businesses will report in 2026, according to the ministry.
