Taiwan MOF Clarifies Tax Treatment of Specific Securities Transactions (Corrected)

The Taiwanese Ministry of Finance Dec. 30 clarified the income tax treatment of specific securities transactions. The clarification explains that taxpayers who trade shares in companies that issue stocks, without a visa, are exempt from securities transaction taxes, but should declare comprehensive income tax in accordance with regulations for income from property transactions.
