The Taiwanese Ministry of Finance Aug. 15 announced the suspension of the securities transaction tax, effective from April 3, 2018, until Dec. 31, 2026, on the purchase and sale of foreign government bonds denominated in foreign currencies that have been approved by the competent authority for public offering. The MOF also clarified that the collection of securities transaction taxes on corporate and financial bonds will also be suspended until Dec. 31, 2026. [Taiwan, Ministry of Finance, 08/15/22]
