Taiwan MOF Seeks Comments on Draft Amendments on VAT Registration Threshold for Nonresident Electronic Service Providers

The Taiwanese Ministry of Finance Dec. 24 opened a consultation on draft VAT amendments to Finance and Tax Order No. 10604539420. The draft amendments include measures to increase the registration threshold to annual sales exceeding NT$600,000 (US$18,306), from annual sales exceeding NT$480,000 (US$14,645), for nonresidents without a fixed place of business in Taiwan that sell electronic services to individuals over the internet or digitally.
