Taiwan government will extend tax reduction measures on key imports such as soybeans and wheat until end of September, it said in a statement, in a bid to maintain stable prices.
- Wheat imports will be exempted from tariffs
- Business tax on imported soybean, wheat and corn will be exempted
- Import tariffs on butter, milk powder for baking will be halved
- Excise tax for gasoline and diesel fuel will be reduced by NT$2 and NT$1.5 per liter respectively
