Industry groups across the European Union and the UK are urging their governments to head off President Donald Trump’s retaliatory tariff and tax threats, suggesting compromises on the global tax deal, scrapping of digital services taxes, and increased dialogue with the US.
The US floating the possibility of doubling taxes on companies and individuals from countries that impose “discriminatory” taxes is a major concern of European businesses, on top of their tariff anxiety.
