New Details on IRS Layoffs
IRS offices in California, New York, and Texas were hardest hit by the layoffs of the agency’s newest hires.
About 7,400 IRS employees were among the thousands of probationary employees fired by the Trump administration, according to IRS data provided to Congress obtained by Bloomberg Tax. This is an uptick from the February plans to fire 6,700 employees.
