Tax administrations’ digitalization efforts have bolstered standardizing of operations and hiring of talent, but also have opened agencies around the world up to more security risks.
David Padrino, chief transformation and strategy officer at the IRS in Washington, said the agency’s new Direct File free e-filing program provided an avenue to attract potential hires.
“We’ve been able to use the excitement around Direct File as a recruiting tool,” Padrino said Wednesday at the International Conference on Taxpayer Rights in Antwerp, Belgium.
