Nine jurisdictions, including some commonly used by multinational companies to lower their global tax bills, have made progress improving how they resolve tax disputes, the OECD said Thursday.
The reviews, which assess the nine’s work on meeting earlier recommendations, are part of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development-led efforts to improve the way countries and companies handle tax challenges. Protracted, expensive legal fights over tax are a common issue for multinational companies.
