Thai Cabinet Approves to Extend Cut in Land, Building Taxes (1)

Thai cabinet has approved the extension of reduction in land and building taxes for another year to ease financial burden on people during the Covid-19 outbreak.

• The 90% reduction in land and building taxes this year will lead to a revenue loss of about 41.4b baht, according to government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri
• The government has also approved the extension of reduction in transfer and mortgage fees from 1%-2% to 0.01% for residential properties not exceeding 3m baht
