A top Thailand tax official said a domestic policy package to implement elements of a global minimum tax should be ready for her government’s consideration this year.
The package will include a new policy on domestic tax incentives, a domestic minimum top-up tax and any relevant legislation, Phensuk Sangasubana, director of the international tax affairs center at Thailand’s Revenue Department, told an OECD conference on tax and development Wednesday.
The proposals are part of Thailand’s domestic implementation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s two-pillar tax reform plan, which was signed by nearly 140 countries in October 2021. ...
