Thailand Gazettes Decree on Temporary VAT Rate Reduction

The Thai Official Gazette Sept. 20 published Royal Decree No. 790, on the temporary standard VAT rate reduction. The decree includes measures: 1) further extending the standard VAT rate reduction to Sept. 30, 2025, from Sept. 30, 2024; and 2) setting the reduced VAT rate at 6.3 percent for VAT liability incurred between Oct. 1, 2017, and Sept. 30, 2025.
