The Thai Official Gazette Nov. 8 published Royal Decree No. 734, providing tax exemptions for specific public financial institutions. The decree includes measures providing: 1) VAT exemptions for asset transfers within 180 days of registration as a public financial institution; 2) income tax exemptions for interest income on deposits and for dividends; and 3) special business tax exemptions, including for stamp duties, on income arising from instruments issued to members.
